Entrepreneurship is a very important topic today in the developing world because Entrepreneurship is the future of Africa and Cameroon in particular who plans to emerge by 2035 is not left out. But without the right training in Entrepreneurship, great business ideas, hard work, and resources can be wasted. Our organization
“The Entrepreneurship and Award Association (EAA) was created with the aim of training the next generation of 10 000 Cameroonian entrepreneurs through The Entrepreneurship Roadmap and Awards” (THE 1000 ERA) program on the Art of Entrepreneurship and Funding, while providing seed capital after such training, to impact-driven Entrepreneurs in order to enhance Entrepreneurship success in Cameroon and boost the country’s economy while reducing extreme poverty and unemployment.
THE 1000 ERA Program will provide Cameroonian Entrepreneurs with the precision and speed they need by teaching them the best strategies to start or scale their businesses during our accelerated and tailored entrepreneurship training programs. We also provide them with a platform to compete for funding called THE 1000 ERA FUNDING Competition or Challenge which presents over 30,000 USD in Cash & Prizes to talented Entrepreneurs or startups across the national territory during the pilot phase. Here, Entrepreneurs or startups showcase their idea, product, service, or business in order to raise a seed Capital between 500K-2.5 million FCFA (1000-5000 USD) for their business idea or startups.
Since 2019, we have worked with over 250 entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds within the Cameroonian Entrepreneurship Ecosystem to understand the different types of business frustrations they face. Whether they’re hunting for good business opportunities, trying to start a business and have no funding, are having a great business idea and don’t know how to start, are looking to raise capital or funding, are eager to make more sales/get more customers and grow their existing business, or need to restructure their business and build a solid team of loyal and capable people, THE 1000 ERA is the right place. At THE 1000 ERA Program, we will be training at least 1000 entrepreneurs yearly, while providing seed capital to selected impact-driven Cameroonian entrepreneurs for the next 10 years.
